The Foundation awards grants to support capital campaigns, capital asset improvements, and maintenance projects. These grants are aimed at organizations looking to enhance their infrastructure or undertake significant capital development projects. The Foundation's geographic area of interest is exclusively Montana. Grants requests of $10,000 or less are accepted any time. PRIOR TO SUBMITTING A GRANT APPLICATION, submit a ONE-page letter to the Foundation providing the following information:

Your complete contact information (name, phone, email, & address)
Brief description of the project
Your IRS status
Total project cost
Amount requested
Funds you have on hand and the source of that funding. The Foundation requires grant seekers to have raised a minimum of 50% of the project’s cost in hand or committed prior to submitting your application to us.
Other funds you have applied for and from whom
Please provide only the information requested.

Following receipt of this letter a determination will be made if you will be invited to submit a grant application.
