The Digital Marketing Training and Grant Program, administered by the Town of Wakefield's Community and Economic Development Department in partnership with the Economic Development Council, provides financial assistance to small, independently owned brick-and-mortar businesses in Wakefield, Massachusetts. The program offers grants of up to $3,000 to support the implementation of digital marketing strategies, including website design, social media growth, email marketing, and digital advertising. The initiative is funded through the American Rescue Planning Act (ARPA) and aims to assist local businesses in expanding their online presence and reaching broader audiences.
Eligible applicants must participate in at least three of four digital marketing training workshops or certify that they have watched recordings of the workshops. Applications are due by noon on Friday, February 7, 2025, and grant funds must be utilized by September 1, 2025. The program has a total funding pool of $50,000 and operates on a first-come, first-served basis until the funds are depleted. This is a reimbursable grant program, requiring grantees to provide proof of payment for eligible services before receiving funds.
