Local Non-profit Organizations in Utah
This funding opportunity is designed for local nonprofit organizations in Park City, Utah, to support services that benefit residents in key areas such as community, housing, and sustainability.
Description
Park City Municipal Corporation (PCMC) is accepting applications from local nonprofit organizations for Public Service Contracts, with a submission deadline of December 6, 2024, at 11:59 p.m. Eligible nonprofits must provide services to Park City residents and align with one of six City Council priority areas: core services, community, housing, recreation, equity, and sustainability. Applications must demonstrate public benefit, financial stability, and adherence to accountability and sustainability criteria outlined in Park City’s budget policies.
Eligible applicants must have quantifiable goals, non-discriminatory practices, cooperative relationships with existing programs, and federally recognized not-for-profit status or fiscal sponsorship. Public service funds cannot be used for one-time events, scholarships, or equipment purchases, and organizations must demonstrate sound fiscal management and fair market value of services provided.
The evaluation process includes screening by PCMC staff, scoring by the Nonprofit Services Advisory Committee, and virtual interviews for applicants scoring at least 60%. Interviews are scheduled for January 13, 15, 21, 22, and, if necessary, February 3 and 4. Final funding recommendations will be presented to the City Council for approval.
Approximately $250,000 is available for funding in FY25, with the median annual award since 2021 being $20,000 and the highest award $50,000. Contracts may last up to four fiscal years, with 80% of funds available at the start of the fiscal year and the remaining 20% distributed based on performance measures. Awards are contingent upon City Council appropriations, and successful applicants must enter into Park City’s Public Service Contract Agreement.
