Beyond Pencils and Beyond Crayons Grants are available to K-12 teachers throughout Marathon County to initiate innovative and creative projects and programs that enhance their curriculum. The selection committee looks for proposals that fill a specific need, are cost-effective, provide educational value, and demonstrate a sense of community. Eligible projects should enrich the educational experience by being fun and engaging, motivate and inspire students and educators, and demonstrate a sense of community. The grants range from $250 to $5,000, and the application deadline is September 30, with notifications by October 31.

Recipients are required to recognize the grant, use the foundation’s logo where appropriate, and submit photographs for potential use in publications.
Final report is due within 60 days of project completion or by the end of the school year. Recipients must adhere to the foundation’s nondiscrimination policy.
