Colorado Watershed Restoration Grants
Description
The Colorado Watershed Restoration Program, managed by the Colorado Water Conservation Board (CWCB), aims to develop Wildfire Ready Watershed action plans and implement projects to mitigate post-wildfire impacts. Funded through the American Rescue Plan Act, the program supports capacity building, planning, engineering, and implementation projects that reduce vulnerability to post-wildfire hazards like debris flows and erosion. Eligible applicants include governmental entities, Colorado’s Tribal Governments, and private entities like non-profit organizations. Applications are accepted on a rolling basis, with a requirement for a 25% match for most grants and a 50% match for implementation projects. Projects must be completed by December 30, 2026, with contractual obligations finalized by December 30, 2024.
