Alaska State Council on the Arts - Career Opportunity Grants
This grant provides financial assistance to professional artists in Alaska for travel and activities that enhance their careers through unique, short-term opportunities.
Description
Career Opportunity Grants, offered on a quarterly basis, support professional artists seeking financial assistance for travel and activities that can enhance their careers. The grants are intended to fund unique, short-term opportunities such as attending events, seminars, or programs at the local, national, or international level that can significantly boost the artist's professional development. These grants are not meant for routine work completion but rather for specific opportunities that present a clear advancement in the artist's career.
Applicants can request grant amounts between $100 and $1,000, rounded to the nearest $100, with the maximum grant not exceeding $1,000. The quarterly deadlines for submitting applications are June 1, September 1, December 1, and March 1. First-time applicants must contact the Alaska State Council on the Arts (ASCA) before applying.
