Description
The Jefferson County Agribusiness Club offers grants ranging from $200 to $1,000 to organizations proposing projects that align with its mission of supporting educational, agricultural promotion, and community service initiatives. Applicants must present projects that are new endeavors or enhance existing programs. Funding can cover either the full cost of smaller projects, specific items, or partial funding for larger projects. The application deadline is December 30, 2024, with submissions accepted via email or postal mail.
Grant recipients are required to attend and present their proposals at the January 21, 2025, Agribusiness Club meeting. Awards will be announced after the February 18, 2025, meeting. Recipients must also volunteer at the Jefferson County Fair Agribusiness Club Food Stand or other approved events, with one 5-hour shift per $250 awarded. Projects must be completed within 13 months, and organizations must submit a written summary with achievements and photos.
Applications must include a detailed project description, budget, funding sources, and alignment with the club's mission. A sign-up sheet for fair volunteering is also required. The first half of the funds is disbursed by the project start date, with the balance released after meeting volunteering and reporting requirements.
