Small Research Grant Program for the Next Generation of Researchers in AD/ADRD Research (R03 Clinical Trial Optional)

Description
The National Institutes of Health (NIH) invites applications for the Small Research Grant Program for the Next Generation of Researchers in Alzheimer's Disease and Alzheimer's Disease-Related Dementias (AD/ADRD) Research (R03 Clinical Trial Optional). This program supports innovative research to improve the prevention, diagnosis, treatment, and care of individuals with AD/ADRD. It aims to encourage early-career researchers to develop academic careers in this field and support established researchers in initiating pilot studies that expand their research focus into AD/ADRD.
Grants provide up to $100,000, and cost-sharing or matching funds are not required. Eligible applicants include state and local governments, tribal entities, higher education institutions, nonprofits, small businesses, and other organizations. Applications will be accepted through March 16, 2026.
Proposals may address a wide range of topics within AD/ADRD research, leveraging applicants' expertise to explore new directions or validate emerging ideas. Projects with clinical trials are optional under this program.
