Historic New England

This program provides funding to organizations in New England for projects that preserve and share the diverse histories of their communities through the conservation of buildings, landscapes, and collections.

Description

Historic New England offers the Community Preservation Grants to support preservation projects across New England states, celebrating the diverse history of the region. Annually, six grants of $1,250 each are awarded to one organization in each of the following states: Connecticut, Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Rhode Island, and Vermont. These grants fund projects that save and share community histories, including the preservation of buildings, landscapes, and collections. The grants aim to highlight inclusive projects that reflect the full spectrum of a community's history. Funding can be used for consulting fees related to project completion but does not cover staff salaries.
