Description
The 2024 Fall for Giving Grant, organized by Fall for Greenville, supports nonprofit organizations that positively impact the Greenville, SC community. The initiative focuses on culinary, cultural diversity, family, and music programs. Eligible applicants must be 501(c)(3) nonprofit organizations with 2-5 years of operational history. Organizations that received the grant in the past two years are not eligible to apply.
The application period begins on January 2, 2024, and closes at midnight on February 2, 2024. Grant projects must occur between January 1, 2024, and December 31, 2024. Selected organizations must have a representative attend the Fall for Giving Grant Reception, with details to be provided later.
Grant amounts range from $1,000 to $20,000, with applicants encouraged to identify an appropriate amount based on their needs. Funding is typically for one year, and partial funding may be awarded depending on resource availability. Grants can be used for capital purposes such as purchasing or renovating facilities and equipment, as well as specific programmatic needs that align with the festival's priorities. Larger grant proposals may require a formal presentation. The funds are disbursed as reimbursements, and all receipts must be submitted by December 31, 2024.
The grant does not fund general operating expenses, marketing collateral, salaries, or insurance. Other exclusions include grants to individuals, projects with conflicts of interest, political campaigns, lobbying, other events or festivals, or organizations exclusively serving religious purposes.
