The program operates on a reimbursement basis, with applicants required to fund the projects upfront and seek reimbursement from IDNR and the Service. Eligible applicants must own or have a secured lease for the facility location, adhere to all application and project requirements, and comply with all relevant regulations. Funding under CVA requires a 25% non-federal cost match from the applicants.
