Nonpoint Source Project Concept Consultation
This program provides an opportunity for project sponsors to receive expert feedback on their water quality restoration or protection project ideas before applying for funding to address nonpoint source pollution.
Description
The Nonpoint Source (NPS) Program, part of the Water Quality Control Division, annually requests applications for NPS funding. Before the release of the Request for Applications (RFA), the program offers project sponsors a chance to receive feedback on their project concepts. This feedback aims to assist sponsors in defining and developing their NPS water quality restoration or protection project ideas, ensuring they receive technical advice before the application process begins. Submitting a Concept Paper is optional, but it is encouraged for those seeking feedback. The deadline for this year's Concept Paper submission is October 11th, 2024, with feedback provided on October 21st, 22nd, and 24th, 2024, during a virtual or telephone conference.
