This program provides funding and learning opportunities for Hamilton County high school juniors to engage in philanthropy by participating in grant making and community service projects.
Description
The Youth Engaged in Philanthropy (YEP) Grant Program, facilitated by the Hamilton Community Foundation, provides Hamilton County high school juniors with an opportunity to learn about and contribute to grant making, charitable giving, and service projects. This annual program encourages youth involvement in philanthropy while addressing community needs. Applications for the 2025 grant cycle are due December 13, 2024, with funding notifications expected by mid-April 2025.
Organizations applying for a YEP grant must submit requests through the Foundation's online portal, ensuring all guidelines are followed and the correct grant type is selected. Each organization is limited to one grant application per calendar year. Past recipients must complete all reporting requirements and payments for previous grants before submitting a new application. Grant funds must be used for projects completed within 12 months of approval, and expenses incurred before grant approval are ineligible.
Applicants are encouraged to consult with the Foundation before submitting their proposals to ensure alignment with program goals. For questions, contact the Foundation office at 402-694-3200 or email lthiele@hcfne.org. By emphasizing thoughtful allocation and responsible use of funds, the YEP Grant Program aims to inspire a culture of philanthropy and excellence in leadership among the next generation.
