Routine Airport Maintenance Program (RAMP) Grants
This program provides state funding to Texas airports for essential airside and landside improvements, helping local governments enhance their infrastructure with a matching contribution.
Description
The FY2024 Routine Airport Maintenance Program (RAMP) Grants provide state funding to support lower-cost airside and landside airport improvements across Texas. The program offers a state match of up to $100,000 per airport, with local governments required to contribute 10% of actual costs plus any amount exceeding $100,000 in total costs. Eligible projects must receive approval from TxDOT Aviation before work begins and may include pavement maintenance, security fencing, lighting system replacements, drainage improvements, and other infrastructure enhancements. Airside maintenance is prioritized over landside improvements.
Eligible airport sponsors can engage contractors or request TxDOT district services within their capabilities, but sponsor force account work is not eligible. There is no formal application process; instead, sponsors must contact the TxDOT Aviation Division with project details to initiate a grant agreement. All work covered under the grant must be completed within the state fiscal year, running from October 1st to August 31st.
