Description
The Rush County Community Foundation offers grant opportunities to non-profit organizations that benefit Rush County, Indiana or its citizens. The foundation administers various funds with different grantmaking restrictions imposed by donors. Grant requests that impact a substantial number of people, propose practical solutions to current problems, address underlying causes of local needs, encourage cooperation and elimination of duplicate services, stimulate volunteer involvement, and are from established agencies tax-exempt under Section 501(c)(3) of the IRS code are generally favored. The foundation also invites applications from new organizations with creative and innovative projects and programs. However, grants for ongoing operating expenses, annual fundraising drives, existing obligations or debt reduction, building campaigns, individuals or travel expenses, multi-year grants or repeat funding, advocacy or political purposes, religious or sectarian purposes, loans or endowments are generally not considered.
