They must also have a current financial audit conducted by an independent certified public accountant or a financial review for organizations with yearly revenues under $500,000. Additionally, organizations must have had total revenues of at least $100,000 for the preceding year and not discriminate based on certain factors.

Grants are approved at board meetings held in January, May, and September.
