Academy of Women Entrepreneurs FY 25 Grant Competition
This funding opportunity supports organizations that empower women in El Salvador by providing professional development programs to enhance their business skills and promote economic growth.
Description
The Academy of Women Entrepreneurs (AWE) FY 25 Grant Competition, issued by the U.S. Mission to El Salvador, seeks to empower women through professional development programs aimed at improving their business skills and fostering economic growth. This opportunity supports women’s social and economic empowerment, aligning with the *National Strategy on Gender Equity and Equality*. The grant aims to help women acquire essential business knowledge, establish networks, and access resources to launch or scale successful businesses.
Eligible applicants include non-governmental organizations (NGOs), think tanks, civil society organizations, public and private educational institutions, and public international organizations. Governmental institutions are also eligible to apply. Each applicant organization is permitted to submit only one proposal; multiple submissions will render all applications from that organization ineligible. Proposals must be submitted in English and include a detailed budget. While cost sharing or matching funds are not required, all applicants are encouraged to obtain a *Unique Entity Identifier (UEI)* and maintain active registration in *SAM.gov*.
The program targets a cohort of approximately 25-30 women who will engage in blended learning experiences, including online and in-person sessions. These sessions will cover core business skills, such as strategic planning, marketing, and finance, and will be facilitated by local business leaders, U.S. exchange alumni mentors, and other subject matter experts. AWE promotes both theoretical and practical learning to help women entrepreneurs succeed in their ventures.
The total funding for the program ranges from $10,000 to $30,000, with a single award expected. The application deadline is January 17, 2025. Proposals will be reviewed for their alignment with program goals, clarity, and feasibility of implementation.
Interested applicants are encouraged to visit the *U.S. Embassy in El Salvador* website for additional details and to direct inquiries to *SanSalvador-Grants@state.gov*. This opportunity reflects the U.S. commitment to fostering women’s leadership and entrepreneurial success on a global scale.
