2026 Performance and Visual Arts Grants
This funding opportunity supports nonprofit visual, music, and performing arts organizations in Broward County, Florida, enabling them to deliver high-quality cultural programs and arts education for K-12 students.
Description
Funding Arts Broward, Inc. (FAB) supports the cultural enrichment of Broward County by providing grants to nonprofit visual, music, and performing arts organizations that present high-quality programs in the county. The organization also offers Education Grants for arts education programs aimed at grades K-12, focusing on art appreciation and skill acquisition. Eligible applicants must be based in Broward, Palm Beach, or Miami-Dade counties and must present their programs in Broward County.
The grant process involves a competitive annual review where finalists are selected through a rigorous evaluation conducted by trained FAB member volunteers. The final grant recipients are determined by a majority vote of the full membership. Organizations must meet specific eligibility requirements, including having an annual revenue of at least $50,000 as reported on their latest IRS Form 990.
For the Visual and Performing Arts Grants, organizations with budgets of $500,000 or more may request up to $15,000, while those with budgets between $100,000 and $500,000 may request up to $12,500. Organizations with budgets under $100,000 may request up to $7,500. Each applicant may only submit one application for this grant category but may also apply for an Education Grant for a different program.
FAB Education Grants, capped at $10,000 (or $7,500 for organizations with budgets under $100,000), support arts education programs for K-12 students. Programs must take place between January 1 and December 31, 2026.
To apply for the 2026 grants, organizations must first complete a pre-qualification process, even if they have previously received FAB funding. The pre-qualification form is due by December 9, 2024, and must be approved before submitting a full grant application. The grant application will open on October 18, 2024, with a final submission deadline of January 27, 2025, by 10:00 pm.
