The Raul & Hortensia Tijerina Foundation aims to enhance the quality of life in south Texas by providing grants that energize youth, support higher education, promote health and wellbeing, and preserve the region's multicultural heritage. The foundation is dedicated to improving the overall quality of life in the south Texas Rio Grande Valley. The Tijerina Foundation provides grants to nonprofit, tax-exempt organizations as indicated by Section 501 (c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code. Organizations eligible for grant support from the Tijerina Foundation must operate and/or provide programming and services to people living in these south Texas counties
