Doordash’s Restaurant Disaster Relief Fund
This grant provides $10,000 to small, independently owned restaurants in the U.S. affected by natural disasters or severe weather, helping them cover essential operating expenses and recover from disruptions.
Description
The Restaurant Disaster Relief Fund is a grant program created by DoorDash in partnership with Hello Alice to assist small, independently owned restaurants that have been impacted by natural disasters, severe weather events, or major infrastructure failures. The fund aims to provide rapid, critical financial assistance in times of disruption, supporting small businesses in maintaining operations and rebuilding after disasters.
The program offers $10,000 grants to eligible restaurants to help cover essential operating expenses, such as rent or mortgage payments, utilities, supplies and materials, food and beverage inventory, and supplier costs. Grants are awarded to help offset losses resulting from disasters declared by a state, tribal, or federal government within the last 12 months prior to the application.
Eligibility for the fund is limited to brick-and-mortar restaurants, gastropubs, or bakeries that are registered and operate in one of the 50 United States, the District of Columbia, or Puerto Rico. Applicants must employ fewer than 50 people per location, own no more than three locations, and must have been open for at least six months prior to applying. Annual revenue per location must not exceed $3 million. Restaurants in Australia, New Zealand, and Canada may be eligible through separate regional programs.
Applicants must sign up for a free Hello Alice account to access the application. The application process is straightforward and expected to take less than an hour to complete. The current round of funding closes on May 30, 2025, at 6 p.m. Eastern Time. The program will reopen shortly after that date for the next funding cycle. No existing relationship with DoorDash or Caviar is required or considered in the selection process.
