Description

The City of Prescott Office of Tourism is offering the FY26 Tourism Grant to support non-profit organizations hosting events in Prescott, Arizona. This annual grant program is funded by the city’s Transient Occupancy Tax, commonly referred to as the Bed Tax. Its primary purpose is to promote tourism by encouraging event marketing beyond the Prescott area and fostering overnight visitation, thereby contributing to the local economy.

Eligible applicants must be registered non-profit organizations planning to host events in Prescott. Awards of up to $5,000 are available per organization, though the final amount depends on each application’s rating and the number of successful applicants. Events must show potential for increasing tourism through metrics such as hotel usage, restaurant patronage, and retail engagement. Funded organizations are expected to align their activities with these tourism goals and submit appropriate follow-up reports.

Applications for the FY26 cycle open on Saturday, March 1, 2025. There will be an optional grant meeting held on Thursday, March 6, 2025, at 3:00 PM in the New City Hall Council Chambers located at 201 N. Montezuma, Prescott. Final applications are due by 5:00 PM on Friday, April 4, 2025. Notifications of award decisions will be issued in June 2025, with final grant approval by the City Council occurring in July 2025.

All invoices for grant reimbursement must be submitted to the Office of Tourism by December 31, 2025. Applicants are encouraged to review the Special Events Guidebook provided by the Tourism Advisory Committee, which includes best practices for event planning, marketing, and reporting. Grantees must make their best effort to comply with all program guidelines to ensure a positive economic impact on the city.
