University Center at Harrisburg Grant Fund in Pennsylvania

Description
The University Center at Harrisburg Grant Fund supports 501(c)(3) nonprofit organizations and accredited educational entities in providing skill and workforce development programs for individuals in Cumberland, Dauphin, Perry, Franklin, Lebanon, and northern York Counties. This grant, administered by The Foundation for Enhancing Communities (TFEC), awards up to $10,000 for projects that strengthen workforce skills and contribute to economic development within these communities.
Applications for the 2025 funding cycle open on November 1, 2024, and close on February 1, 2025, at 11:59 p.m. All applications must be submitted through TFEC’s online portal. Notification of awards will be sent by June 1, 2025, with funded projects expected to begin after July 1, 2025, and conclude by June 30, 2026.
Evaluation Criteria include alignment with the Fund’s mission, a clear definition of target audience and project goals, roles and partnerships, funding diversification, measurable outcomes, and diversity, equity, and inclusion. Applications are scored up to 50 points, with special emphasis on projects that reflect community demographics and promote accessibility.
The Fund does not cover advertising, lobbying, capital campaigns, religious activities, or retroactive projects. Prospective applicants can request a draft review from the TFEC Community Investment Team up to two weeks before the deadline by emailing grants@tfec.org or calling 717-236-5040.
