This grant, established under §38.2-401.D of the Code of Virginia, provides funding to Virginia localities for the purchase of fire-related training props for regional fire services training facilities. The program supports the acquisition, renovation, repair, service, and management of fire services training props to enhance multi-jurisdictional training in accordance with NFPA 1001 and 1403 standards. Applications for new project requests are accepted annually from July 1 to September 1. The grant aims to improve fire services training through the provision of essential training equipment, enhancing the safety and effectiveness of fire service personnel throughout the Commonwealth.
