Description
The Virginia Community Foundation offers grants to support projects that address community needs or opportunities within the greater Virginia area, with a focus on parks and recreation, and arts and culture. Eligible applicants include 501(c)(3) nonprofit organizations, government entities, or organizations with a fiscal agent agreement with a 501(c)(3) entity. The Foundation awards grants up to $5,000 per project, which must be completed within 12 months. The grant cycles open on March 1st and September 1st, closing on March 31st and September 30th, respectively. Projects are evaluated based on their impact, measurable results, community need, collaboration, asset-based approach, and sustainability.
