National Domestic Violence Hotline
This grant provides funding to operate a national hotline that offers crisis support and resources to victims of domestic violence, their families, and those affected by such victimization.
Description
The National Domestic Violence Hotline funding opportunity is a forecasted grant from the Administration for Children and Families (ACF), a division of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS), specifically under the Office of Family Violence Prevention and Services (OFVPS). ACF aims to promote the economic and social well-being of families, children, individuals, and communities through various federal support programs. The Office of Family Violence Prevention and Services supports efforts to prevent and respond to family, domestic, and dating violence across the United States.
This grant will fund a single cooperative agreement to manage and operate a national domestic violence hotline. The hotline’s purpose is to provide crisis intervention and support services for adult and youth victims of family violence, domestic violence, and dating violence, as well as for family members and others affected by such violence. It will serve as a national resource offering immediate referrals, safety planning, and connection to local domestic violence shelters, outreach programs, and legal and social service agencies. The hotline also plays a critical role in assisting individuals working through the criminal and civil justice systems.
Eligible applicants for this funding opportunity are nonprofit organizations with 501(c)(3) status, excluding institutions of higher education. Individuals, sole proprietorships, and foreign entities are explicitly excluded from eligibility. Faith-based and community organizations that meet the specified criteria are encouraged to apply.
