This fellowship provides $10,000 to support AAPI women and gender-expansive individuals in Pennsylvania, Massachusetts, or Georgia who are dedicated to creating impactful civic projects in their communities, along with mentorship and skills training.

Description

This opportunity offers a $10,000 fellowship designed to support AAPI (Asian American and Pacific Islander) women and gender-expansive individuals committed to impactful civic projects within their communities. The program is aimed at individuals with a passion for social change who have an existing connection to civic engagement or social justice and are ready to enhance their impact. Beyond funding, this fellowship also provides mentorship, skills training, and a network of AAPI community members to foster growth and support the development of their projects.

The fellowship particularly favors applicants residing in Pennsylvania, Massachusetts, or Georgia who not only live in these states but are also dedicated to serving their communities there. Eligible applicants should self-identify as AAPI or Native Hawaiian and as women or gender-expansive individuals, with an emphasis on inclusivity of those who identify as South Asian, Southeast Asian, or multiracial. Ideal candidates should have a clear vision for addressing specific issues in their communities, including an awareness of unmet needs or unique challenges that require innovative solutions.

A strong desire to build community and amplify AAPI voices is central to this fellowship. Applicants should be motivated by the potential for long-term community benefits and be prepared to create initiatives that may require new, untested approaches. The program seeks changemakers who are resilient, action-oriented, and serious about expanding their current community impact.

Participants will benefit from a supportive environment that includes not only financial backing but also access to workshops and training designed to equip them with the tools necessary to navigate challenges and sustain their projects. Additionally, the fellowship fosters a sense of community and mutual encouragement among participants, helping them build a strong network of like-minded changemakers.

This program is ideal for those who require resources, guidance, and community backing to achieve their project goals. Fellows will gain access to an alumni network and ongoing community engagement opportunities, allowing them to grow both personally and professionally while making meaningful contributions to their communities.
