Program: Foundation Mini-Grant
Funder: KCMSA Foundation
Award Details: Grants of $3,000 or less are available for organizations in the greater Grand Rapids area. The funding is intended to support projects that improve the health and well-being of individuals. The grants cannot be used for paid staff positions, office supplies, or office equipment. Nonprofit organizations with 501(c)(3) status are eligible to apply.
Eligibility:
- Organizations must have 501(c)(3) status.
- Projects must be located in the greater Grand Rapids area.
- Grant requests must be $3,000 or less.
- Applicants must meet reporting requirements as stated on the application.
- Grant funds must be spent within one calendar year of receipt.
Other Relevant Information:
- Consideration is given to projects that provide health education, medical services, medical supplies, and promote social welfare.
- Applications that address the major health issues identified in the Kent County Community Health Needs Assessment (mental health, substance abuse, obesity, and poor nutrition) will receive additional consideration.
- Nonprofit organizations can also apply for funds on behalf of individuals' health needs when insurance and Medicaid do not cover essential items.

- Emailed submissions are preferred. Completed applications should be emailed to foundation.president@kcmsalliance.org.
- Applications can also be submitted via regular mail to the address provided. If submitting by mail, it is recommended to follow up with an email notification.
Application Deadlines:
Grant applications should be submitted by the following deadlines to be considered within each cohort:
- August 15
- October 15
- February 15
- April 15
