The Robert Wood Johnson Foundation (RWJF) is offering a grant of up to $800,000 for a multifaceted research project aimed at developing recommendations for actionable Asian American subgroup categories in race and ethnicity data collection and analysis. The goal is to create community-informed, evidence-based recommendations that are feasible for real-world implementation, focusing on cultural and historical analysis, quantitative data analysis of health and wellbeing indicators, and community engagement. Eligible applicants must be U.S.-based organizations, preferably public entities or 501(c)(3) nonprofits. The project must begin by January 15, 2025, with a maximum funding period of 24 months.

Brief proposals are due by August 13, 2024, and full proposals by October 9, 2024. Only one organization may be the lead contact, but multiple organizations can collaborate. Preference is given to proposals that demonstrate meaningful community engagement, methodological rigor, and expertise in the Asian American population's heterogeneity.
