Impact100 Core Mission Grant
This funding opportunity supports nonprofit organizations in Camden, Burlington, Gloucester, and Cumberland counties, New Jersey, to implement impactful projects in community health, education, and initiatives benefiting families and individuals.
Description
The 2025 Core Mission Grant offered by Impact100 South Jersey provides nonprofit organizations the opportunity to secure significant funding for projects that align with one of several key focus areas. These grants aim to support programs in the areas of Community Health and Wellness, Education, and initiatives that enhance the lives of Women, Men, Children, and Families. The program is open to nonprofits that are either headquartered in, or have a presence in, one of four counties in New Jersey: Camden, Burlington, Gloucester, or Cumberland. Eligible projects must also occur within these counties, and have a minimum budget of $100,000.
To qualify, applicants must ensure that their organization meets specific financial and operational criteria. These include having annual operating revenues between $300,000 and $5 million, possessing two years of 990 forms and independently audited financial statements, and maintaining tax-exempt status under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code. The grant period for the Core Mission Grant runs from July 1, 2025, to June 30, 2027, ensuring long-term support for selected projects. Nonprofits must be prepared to undertake their proposed projects within this timeframe.
The application process is conducted in two stages. First, organizations are required to submit a Grant Eligibility Application, which will open on November 25, 2024, and close on December 13, 2024. This initial application helps Impact100 SJ assess whether the nonprofit meets the basic eligibility requirements. After a review by the Finance Committee, organizations that pass this stage will be invited to submit a full proposal by January 26, 2025, with a final deadline for the proposal submission on February 21, 2025. Site visits will follow in April or May 2025 for selected applicants, allowing for a more detailed evaluation of the proposed projects.
One Core Mission Grant and two General Operating Grants will ultimately be awarded. Finalists will be invited to present their projects at the Impact100 SJ Annual Meeting on June 11, 2025, where members will vote on the final grant recipients. This is a competitive process, with the potential for significant funding to enhance impactful, community-driven initiatives.
Organizations interested in applying should attend one of the informational sessions scheduled for early November 2024 in Voorhees and Mullica Hill to gain further insights into the application process and grant guidelines. Detailed instructions for using the online application portal, which opens on November 25, 2024, will also be available to guide applicants through the process.
