Creative Pinellas is offering Hurricane Relief Grants for artists and 501(c)(3) arts organizations in Pinellas County, Florida, impacted by the autumn 2024 hurricanes. The program provides $500 grants for individuals and $1,000 grants for nonprofit organizations. The number of grants awarded will depend on the ratio of eligible applications to available funds. Applications are open from December 12, 2024, to January 12, 2025, or until a threshold of applications is reached.

Eligible artists must be 18 or older, reside in Pinellas County for at least six months and one day annually, and must not have been selected for specific Creative Pinellas opportunities in 2024 or 2025. Prior participation in other Creative Pinellas programs, such as the Emerging Artist Grant or the Arts Annual, does not affect eligibility. Nonprofit organizations must be located, operate, and provide programming in Pinellas County, with a mission centered on the arts.

The application requires basic contact information, a brief accounting of financial losses, a one-sentence proposal for fund use, and a short narrative about how the grant will benefit the applicant’s artistic practice or organizational services. Applications may be emotional to complete due to recounting losses, and applicants are encouraged to share their stories despite limited funding availability.
