The Board Grants program by the Andrew Family Foundation supports projects and organizations that enhance communities and foster individual growth through education, humanitarian efforts, and the arts. This program is open to public, non-profit organizations under IRS Section 501(c)(3).

The application process consists of four steps. First, applicants must take an online Eligibility Quiz on the foundation's website to confirm their eligibility for a grant. If eligible, they will be invited to submit a Letter of Inquiry online. The Board will review the Letter of Inquiry and may invite selected applicants to submit a Full Application for further review. The decision on any application or inquiry depends on the number and nature of other requests and the availability of funds.
Proposals are reviewed quarterly, with final decisions made by the Foundation’s Board of Directors during their meetings in February, May, August, and November.

Grant payments are generally made within the month of approval, but the foundation has discretion in setting the appropriate schedule. Grant recipients may be required to submit a grant report after receiving the award, providing progress updates on program objectives, program recipients, financial information, outcomes, and organizational details. The foundation may also request additional financial statements and information related to organizational and program changes.

It is important for organizations to comply with the requirements outlined under Grant Administration as failure to do so may result in discontinued grant payments. The foundation reserves the right to reduce or discontinue payments if it deems that a program does not meet its stated objectives.
