Award Details: Cash grants are available to support organizations impacted by Hurricane Idalia in Florida, Georgia, North Carolina, and South Carolina. The grants aim to provide support for sheltering supplies and infrastructure, reunification efforts, necessary veterinary care, and staffing and volunteer needs for those working with pets in impacted areas.
Eligibility: Eligible applicants include nonprofit or municipal organizations located in declared and affected counties in Florida, Georgia, North or South Carolina. Additionally, 501(c)3 animal or human service organizations supporting relief and recovery for pets and their people from the area are also eligible.
Other Relevant Information: Grant funds can be used for immediate sheltering needs (kennels, crates, carriers, food, waste management), medical expenses for impacted pets (vaccinations and immediate medical care), staffing and volunteer costs (wages, lodging, meals, transport expenses). Self-deploying organizations are not eligible. Requests to support equine, livestock or wildlife; incidents affecting personally owned property; individual pet parent requests; emergency preparedness efforts; hoarding or animal cruelty seizures are also not eligible.
