This grant provides funding for community projects in Humboldt County that enhance arts, health, education, environmental initiatives, and social services.
Description
The Humboldt County Community Foundation (HCCF) supports projects that promote community enrichment, arts, health, education, cultural and civic programs, environmental initiatives, and social services. Eligible requests include service projects or pilot programs, seed funding to initiate or expand services, and funding for community amenities. The foundation requires all applicants to attend a mandatory Grant Meeting to qualify for funding consideration.
The 2025 Grant Application Timeline begins on November 1, 2024, when applications become available. All applicants must attend the mandatory Grant Meeting on December 5, 2024, at 6 PM in the Humboldt County Memorial Hospital Foundation Conference Room. Completed applications are due by January 3, 2025, by 4:00 PM either delivered to City Hall (29 5th Street South, Humboldt, IA) or postmarked by this date if mailed.
The review and approval process includes a committee meeting on January 8, 2025, and the HCCF Board’s final approval on January 22, 2025. Grant awards are subject to final approval by GDMCF on February 7, 2025, with recipients notified by mail on February 14, 2025. Awardees will be honored at the Grant Awards Ceremony on March 13, 2025, at 6 PM at the HCMH Foundation Conference Room. All funds awarded must be documented with proof of purchase or expenditure within three months, or an extension request must be submitted to HCCF.
To maintain accountability, grant recipients must submit a completed evaluation form by September 30, 2025. The foundation has awarded over $1.3 million since its inception and emphasizes its commitment to enhancing Humboldt County’s quality of life through strategic funding.
