Description
Loudoun County, Virginia, is offering a grant opportunity aimed at enhancing the quality of early childhood education through the Child Care Quality Improvement Incentive Program. The program is funded by $286,500 in American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) allocations and provides direct support to child care providers serving families in Loudoun County. The grant is designed to help these providers improve classroom environments and boost overall program quality, ultimately contributing to better early learning outcomes for children.
Each eligible provider may apply for a $750 grant, which can be used for various quality improvement-related purposes. These include purchasing classroom equipment and supplies, enhancing furnishings, providing teacher incentives, and acquiring specialized professional development or training. The grant is structured as a one-time incentive and is intended to be used flexibly within those parameters to support meaningful improvements.
To qualify for this grant, child care providers must meet two key criteria: they must be based in Loudoun County and licensed to operate in the state of Virginia. The initiative welcomes providers from across different early education settings, emphasizing the importance of high-quality care in both public and private environments.
To support applicants through the process, two virtual help sessions will be offered. These sessions will provide an overview of the program’s requirements, guidance on how to apply, and clarification on eligible uses of funds. Interested providers may join either session at any time during the scheduled hour to ask questions and receive support. The sessions are scheduled for Wednesday, April 9, 2025, at 6:00 PM and Wednesday, June 4, 2025, at 6:00 PM.
More information, including the application link and details for joining the virtual help sessions, is available on the official Loudoun County website at loudoun.gov/ChildCareAssistance.
