The Kendal C. and Anna Ham Charitable Foundation was established to support charitable intentions as decided by Kendal and Anna Ham, focusing primarily on local needs within Conway, New Hampshire, and the lakeside area of Moose Pond in Bridgton, Maine. After Kendal's death in 1988, Anna Ham, with the help of legal counsel, refocused their philanthropic goals towards creating a community-based charitable organization to support these local communities. The foundation now aims to improve community life in the Mt. Washington Valley of New Hampshire, Fryeburg, and Bridgton, Maine, by supporting programs that promote responsibility, concern for others, and overall community vitality.
