ArtsWave Catalyzing Impact Grant 2025
This funding opportunity supports nonprofit organizations in the Cincinnati-Middletown area to develop arts and cultural projects that promote community engagement, diversity, and educational enhancement.
Description
The Catalyzing Impact Grant Program, administered by ArtsWave, provides funding for arts and cultural heritage projects that align with the goals of the Blueprint for Collective Action, a framework designed to increase the impact of the arts in the Cincinnati-Middletown, OH-KY-IN MSA. Grants range up to $10,000 or 50% of the total project budget, requiring a 1:1 match that can include up to 50% in-kind contributions. Projects must take place between January 1, 2025, and December 31, 2025, and the application deadline is January 15, 2025.
Eligible applicants include 501(c)(3) organizations or those with a fiscal sponsor. Applicants must operate in the specified MSA counties, have a federal Unique Entity Identifier (UEI), and not have received other ArtsWave project-specific grants for the proposed activity. Projects should demonstrate a specific, measurable impact in areas such as arts access, cultural diversity, community engagement, or educational enhancement. New projects or expansions of existing ones that deepen impact or reach new audiences/geographies are prioritized.
Funding cannot support general operations, fundraisers, re-granting, or political or religious advocacy. Applications must include a detailed project description, objectives, measurable outcomes, a budget, and an explanation of how the project aligns with ArtsWave's Blueprint goals. Additional federal compliance information is required for ADA accessibility and environmental and historical considerations.
To support applicants, ArtsWave will host webinars, including a Grant Overview Session on December 17, 2024, and grant writing workshops on December 18, 2024, and January 3, 2025. Draft applications submitted by January 3 will receive feedback. Awards will be announced in February 2025, with a single grant payment issued upon acceptance and compliance with all conditions. A final report is required by December 31, 2025.
This program is ideal for organizations aiming to expand their cultural impact through innovative and inclusive arts programming. Applicants are encouraged to ensure their proposals are well-aligned with the grant’s goals and comply with all guidelines for a competitive submission.
