Maryland Performing Artist Touring Roster Grant 2025
This grant provides opportunities for professional Maryland-based performing artists and groups to gain visibility and support for touring performances across the state.
Description
The Maryland Performing Artist Touring Roster, managed by the Maryland State Arts Council (MSAC), is a curated list of professional Maryland-based performing artists with a proven record of successful touring engagements. The roster is designed to foster collaboration between Maryland artists and presenters, increasing opportunities for touring performances across the state. Artists on the roster gain visibility and access to resources for promoting their work through the MSAC network.
Applications to join the Touring Roster are accepted on a rolling basis from July 1, 2024, through April 30, 2025, with a monthly review process. Artists and groups interested in applying must meet several eligibility criteria. Independent artists must be Maryland residents aged 18 or older. For groups, at least 50% of members must reside in Maryland, and the group’s primary place of business must also be in the state. College and university-based performers are eligible if they perform regularly off-campus for professional fees. Additionally, applicants must demonstrate a successful history of professional touring engagements.
Applications must be submitted through the MSAC’s Smart Simple portal, and applicants should ensure their forms are specific to FY 2025 (application IDs should begin with "2025"). Incomplete or outdated forms from prior cycles will not be processed. A detailed rubric and webinar slides are available to assist applicants in preparing a strong submission.
