Description

The Union County History Grant Program, administered by the Union County Office of Cultural & Heritage Affairs (UCOCHA) and funded by the New Jersey Historical Commission (NJHC), provides financial support to Union County-based non-profit organizations and units of local government. This grant aims to strengthen and develop New Jersey history organizations and programs, improve the management and interpretation of historic sites, and expand public access to historical resources. The program offers two funding types: General Operating Support (GOS) with a maximum request of $7,500 and Special Project Grants with a maximum of $5,000. Eligible expenses include salaries, contracted services, equipment, and more, while ineligible expenses include capital improvements, acquisitions, and deficits. Applications are open to organizations incorporated in New Jersey with a history of providing history-related services or programs in Union County.
