NW Children’s Foundation Grant
This grant provides funding to child welfare organizations focused on preventing and addressing child abuse, neglect, and trauma, with an emphasis on healing, family support, and youth empowerment.
Description
The NW Children’s Foundation (NWCF) provides grants to child welfare organizations working to prevent, intervene, and treat child abuse, neglect, and trauma. NWCF focuses on programs that heal children, strengthen families, and empower youth, with an emphasis on equity, racial justice, and trust-based philanthropy. Grants support initiatives aligned with these values in prevention, early intervention, and treatment efforts.
NWCF’s grant application process has two steps. First, agencies must submit a Letter of Inquiry (LOI). Only one LOI per organization is allowed each year. A screening committee reviews submissions and selects agencies to proceed to the second step, which involves completing a full Grant Application. The process concludes with a thorough review of application materials, a required site visit, and final funding decisions by the NWCF Board.
Grant cycles are offered in winter and spring with distinct timelines. For the winter cycle, LOIs are due by September 6, 2024, at 11:59 PM PST. Agencies selected for the second stage must submit a full application by November 1, 2024. Site visits occur from November through late January, and final grant decisions are announced in early March. For the spring cycle, LOIs are due by December 10, 2024, at 11:59 PM PST, full applications are due by February 14, 2025, and site visits occur from February through mid-May, with decisions announced in June.
NWCF grants vary in amount, and applicants are encouraged to review the Frequently Asked Questions for more details. Interested organizations must submit their LOIs through NWCF’s e-grants system. Questions about the process can be directed to office@nwcf.org.
