Description
The Carthage Affiliate Grantmaking Program is an initiative of the Carthage Community Foundation (CCF), aimed at improving the quality of life for individuals in the Carthage area through targeted grantmaking and community leadership. The foundation is overseen by a Board of Directors selected for their knowledge of the local community. Grant decisions are made by the foundation’s grant committee, ensuring funds are directed toward impactful and innovative community projects.
The Spring 2025 Community Grant Round is open to 501(c)(3) nonprofit organizations, government entities, school districts, and churches serving the Carthage area. Eligible applicants may submit one application for a maximum request of $10,000. Each applicant must select one funding category from the following four options:
Health & Human Services
Education & Youth Services
Arts, Culture, History & Community Beautification
Food & Nutrition
CCF prioritizes funding for one-time special projects and capital/equipment purchases but will consider requests for general operating expenses if applicants provide a compelling case for funding due to special circumstances. A clear and itemized project budget must be included with each application. Grant recipients must spend awarded funds within one year and participate in publicity efforts as well as provide a detailed follow-up report after one year.
The application period opens on March 17, 2025, and closes at 11:45 PM on April 10, 2025. Late applications will not be considered, including those affected by technical difficulties. All applications must be completed and submitted online, and requests must be authorized by the applicant organization’s governing board.
