Description
The Chowan Community Funds Foundation (CCFF), an affiliate of the North Carolina Community Foundation (NCCF), is now accepting grant applications for its 2025 funding cycle. The application window runs from March 7, 2025, to NOON Eastern Time on April 8, 2025. Applications submitted after the deadline—including those delayed by technical issues—will not be considered.
Grant funding will be awarded from both the CCFF community grantmaking fund and the Ann L. Sams Endowment, and is intended to support qualified charitable organizations that serve Chowan County, North Carolina. Grant awards typically range from $500 to $5,000, with the 2024 cycle awarding a total of $25,630. The process is competitive and based on both the strength of the application and alignment with community needs.
Organizations must apply through NCCF’s online application portal. First-time applicants are required to follow the instructions in Training Module I to create an organization profile. Returning applicants can log in using their existing credentials and follow Training Module II to submit their application. Only applications that fully comply with all guidelines will be eligible for review.
Funding decisions are typically announced approximately two months after the application period ends. Decisions are guided in part by the annual Community Needs Assessment, which helps the local advisory board identify the most pressing issues and priorities within Chowan County.
Organizations are strongly encouraged to review the grant guidelines in full before applying. For specific questions or technical support, applicants should contact the designated Program Officer through the North Carolina Community Foundation.
