Description
The Queen Anne’s County Micro Agricultural Grant Program, in partnership with the Upper Shore Regional Council, provides funding to support and sustain the development, expansion, and coordination of agricultural businesses and initiatives in Queen Anne’s County, Maryland. This grant program is designed for local agricultural enterprises, including crop and livestock production, agritourism, aquaculture, agricultural education, cooperatives, timber production, and agricultural product processing. The funding supports projects that improve marketing efforts, implement capital improvements, introduce technology, enhance animal welfare, or conduct agricultural research and climate resiliency initiatives.
Applications are due by 12:00 p.m. on February 10, 2025. This is a cost-reimbursement grant, and eligible expenses incurred after October 2024 can be retroactively reimbursed. Approximately $64,000 is available for this round of funding, with individual grant requests ranging from $2,500 to $10,000. Applications will be evaluated competitively, and decisions will be communicated to applicants after committee review.
