Description
The Nicholas County Community Foundation (NCCF) invites grant applications from nonprofit organizations based in or serving Nicholas County, West Virginia. NCCF's grantmaking program primarily supports capital and equipment projects and special programs across several focus areas, including arts and culture, education, health and human services, recreation, and youth and family services. Eligible applicants include private, nonprofit organizations as defined by Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code or public institutions. The foundation prioritizes new project startups, one-time projects/programs, seed money for pilot projects or to address unmet or emerging needs, matching grants, projects with broad community reach, and expansions of existing programs. Grants are awarded for one year, with possible extensions or scope changes subject to committee approval. NCCF does not fund operational expenses, annual campaigns, endowments, sectarian religious activities, debts, travel, or political lobbying. Applicants must be private, not-for-profit organizations as defined by Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code, or public institutions. Programs must be located in or serve Nicholas County.
