Description
The Community Foundation for Northeast Florida is offering Early Childhood Grants for the 2025 grant cycle to nonprofit organizations focused on early childhood development. These grants aim to enhance creative and efficient services for at-risk children under the age of six in Duval County, Florida. The funding supports early learning centers as well as programs that provide assistance to parents and caregivers. The foundation's mission is to ensure children in this age group receive quality early childhood education and support that promotes their well-being and long-term success.
Eligible applicants must be nonprofit organizations with 501(c)(3) status, have at least a two-year operational history, and maintain an annual operating budget of $100,000 or more. The organization must be both located in and serve Duval County. Funding cannot be used for athletic associations, school-based organizations such as PTAs or booster clubs, fundraising event sponsorships, programs outside Duval County, or programs that promote religious beliefs. However, faith-based organizations may apply if they offer non-religious programs accessible to the broader community.
The maximum grant award for this funding opportunity is $25,000. Applications opened on January 2, 2025, and the submission deadline is March 6, 2025, at 11:59 PM. The foundation provides applicant support between January 6, 2025, and March 1, 2025, through in-person, virtual, or phone consultations. Organizations needing assistance can request appointments for guidance during this period.
Grant recipients will be notified by June 1, 2025. Funded projects must be implemented between June 1, 2025, and May 31, 2027. The funding is intended for programs that directly contribute to the development and well-being of young children through early education and caregiver support.
