The Poet Life and the African American Tobacco Control Leadership Council (AATCLC) believe that artists have a unique ability to shine a light on critical social issues. Big Tobacco’s targeted marketing in minority and disadvantaged communities is one such issue, and they’re here to challenge it. The Mini Grant Program empowers artists of all disciplines to use their creative talents to fight back.
Funding Information
Successful applicants will receive a grant of $500 to fund their projects.
Eligibility Criteria
Artists of All Disciplines: The program is open to artists of all disciplines, including but not limited to poets, musicians, visual artists, performers, and filmmakers.
Commitment to the Theme: Applicants must be committed to addressing the issue of Big Tobacco’s targeted marketing, the negative health effects of tobacco use, or the importance of tobacco control policies through their artistic projects.
Age and Residency: Applicants must be at least 18 years old and residents of the United States.
