Grant Opportunity: Sudden and Urgent Need Grants for Nonprofit Organizations in North Carolina's Chatham, Durham, Orange, and Wake counties. The Triangle Community Foundation offers grants of up to $2,000 to assist nonprofits facing unforeseen crises that significantly interfere with their ability to provide critical services or threaten their operations. Eligible organizations must meet a critical community need in the funding region, be tax-exempt under section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code, demonstrate financial stability, and show that the need is unbudgeted, unforeseen, and time-sensitive. The grants can be used for essential equipment, emergency building repairs, or other unexpected needs. Applications are ongoing but will not fund projects that should have been anticipated and budgeted for or certain types of expenses such as deficit funding or general operating costs.
