Alumni Engagement Innovation Fund - Lebanon 2025
This funding opportunity supports alumni of U.S. government-sponsored exchange programs in Lebanon to implement innovative projects that promote good governance, social cohesion, and cultural heritage while encouraging diversity and inclusion.
Description
The U.S. Mission to Lebanon invites alumni of U.S. government-sponsored exchange programs to submit proposals for the 2025 Alumni Engagement Innovation Fund (AEIF). This fund supports alumni-led projects that address key themes such as promoting good governance, fostering experiential learning for social cohesion and recovery, encouraging social entrepreneurship, and protecting cultural heritage. Projects incorporating elements of accessibility, diversity, equity, and inclusion are strongly encouraged. All project activities must occur outside the United States and its territories.
Eligible applicants include teams of at least two alumni from U.S. government-funded exchange programs. Proposals must include a clear budget and meet all eligibility requirements. Proposals that do not align with the program’s objectives will not be considered. Individual alumni or alumni teams may partner with not-for-profit organizations, NGOs, or academic institutions to implement their projects.
The program will fund up to two awards, with grants ranging from $5,000 to $35,000. There is no requirement for cost-sharing. Concept notes, including a detailed proposal and budget, must be submitted to PDBeirutGrants@state.gov by January 30, 2025, at 11:59 PM Eastern Standard Time.
This initiative builds on skills gained during exchange experiences to address global challenges at the community level. For further assistance, applicants should contact the Public Diplomacy Section of the U.S. Embassy in Beirut. This program offers alumni the opportunity to create meaningful local impacts while strengthening ties with the United States.
