City of Wilsonville Community Enhancement Program 2025
This program provides funding for projects that improve the appearance, environmental quality, and recreational opportunities in Wilsonville, prioritizing initiatives that benefit the community and support cultural enrichment.
Description
The Wilsonville-Metro Community Enhancement Program (CEP) offers annual funding for projects that enhance the appearance, environmental quality, recreational opportunities, and cultural vibrancy of Wilsonville. The application period for the 2025 cycle is open until January 10, 2025, at 5:00 PM. Applicants are required to attend a pre-application meeting with the CEP administrator to ensure their proposed projects align with program goals. All funded projects must take place within city limits and be completed within two years after funding is made available.
The program prioritizes projects that improve the community's appearance or environmental quality, reduce waste or toxicity, and increase opportunities for reuse and recycling. Other eligible activities include upgrading property owned or operated by nonprofits, preserving natural areas like wetlands or forests, improving recreational spaces and safety, benefiting underserved populations, and fostering community enrichment through education, arts, or cultural projects. Projects must deliver measurable benefits to Wilsonville residents and support the city's broader environmental and community goals.
The application process follows a structured timeline. An application workshop will be held on December 18, 2024, at the Wilsonville Library to provide guidance. Applications must be submitted online by January 10, 2025. In February 2025, city staff will review applications, followed by Community Enhancement Committee (CEC) meetings in April, where applicants present their proposals. The committee will then make funding recommendations to the City Council, which will allocate funds in May 2025. Once agreements are signed, projects may begin as early as July 2025.
Applicants may not have any active CEP grants during the application review period unless they can provide a detailed performance update and completion timeline for their current project. Exceptions to this rule are granted at the discretion of the CEC. All funded projects are expected to adhere to the agreed-upon completion dates to ensure timely impact.
This program is a valuable opportunity for individuals and organizations to contribute to Wilsonville’s growth and well-being. Applicants should ensure their proposals clearly address the program's goals, demonstrate community impact, and include a robust plan for timely execution.
