Innovation Grants for Neighborhood Information, Transformation, and Enhancement (IGNITE)

Description
The Neighborhood IGNITE Grant Program aims to enhance South Bend neighborhoods through innovative, resident-led projects that foster community engagement and development. Grants ranging from $5,000 to $15,000 are available to neighborhood associations to support small, neighborhood-based projects that offer community-wide benefits. Eligible projects include beautification, public art, food security, public safety, health and wellness, and public space enhancement initiatives.
The 2024 application window opens on June 10 and closes on July 12 at 5:00 p.m., with no exceptions. One-on-one meetings with the IGNITE Project Manager will be held from June 17 to July 19. Awards will be announced in November 2024. Applicants must involve residents in the project planning and execution, and the association must have a tax ID and bank account, though 501c3 certification is not required.
