2025 Recreation Passport Grant Program
Description
The Recreation Passport Grant Program is designed for the development of public outdoor recreation facilities for local units of government in Michigan. Funded through the sale of the Recreation Passport, this program allocates funds primarily for renovating and improving existing facilities at parks, with the potential for developing new facilities or parks. Eligible applicants include local units of government like cities, villages, townships, and counties, which can apply through the MiGrants online application system. The program emphasizes long-term obligations to keep the funded facilities open to the public and in compliance with various grant requirements. Project minimum request of $7,500 and a maximum of $150,000.
